On September 8, Essential Science Indicator (ESI) released the latest statistics (from January 1, 2012 to June 30, 2022), suggesting Agricultural Sciences and Mathematics of Hangzhou Normal University (HZNU) entered the global top 1% for the first time, realizing a new breakthrough. HZNU now has 10 disciplines in the top 1% list and the other eight are chemistry, clinical medicine, botany & zoology, neurology & behavior, engineering, materials science, environment/ecology and biology & biochemistry.

For the time period, the number of HZNU disciplines in the global 1% ranks the fifth in teachers’ colleges and universities nationwide and second in colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province.
