First International Taiji Science Online Forum and World Intangible Cultural Heritage Taiji Masters Online Exhibition Opened at HZNU

On the morning of December 4, the First International Taiji Science Online Forum & World Intangible Cultural Heritage Taiji Masters Online Exhibition opened at Hangzhou Normal University. The event was hosted by Taiji Science Federation and co-hosted by Hangzhou Normal University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and World Taijiquan Website.

The forum and exhibition attracted nearly 100 experts, scholars and inheritors of Taijiquan from 32 universities of 20 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and the United Kingdom.

Deyu Zhai, representative of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco, and Tinggui Wu, vice president of the International Wushu Federation and President of the American Wushu Federation, sent congratulatory letters to the forum. Ms. Lingwei Li, member of the International Olympic Committee, vice president of the Chinese Olympic Committee and leader of Hangzhou Normal University, delivered an opening speech by video.

In the two-day forum and exhibition, Taiji scientists from various countries gathered together online to rediscover and explore health preservation value of Taijiquan, reveal and improve the science and system of traditional health preservation skills, and explore the development direction of world Taiji health preservation.

This forum builds an exchange platform between international universities and colleges, which will further strengthen the academic and scientific research interaction between experts and discipline leaders within and outside China and promote joint projects between Chinese and American universities in terms of production, education, research and achievement transformation.
