The latest data released by the Essential Science Indicators (ESI), covering the period from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2024, shows that the discipline of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Hangzhou Normal University has entered the global top 1% for the first time.

With this addition, the number of the university’s disciplines ranked in the top 1% globally has increased to 15. These disciplines now include Chemistry, Clinical Medicine, Plant and Animal Science, Neuroscience and Behavior, Engineering, Materials Science, Environment Science and Ecology, Biology and Biochemistry, Mathematics, Agricultural Sciences, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Psychiatry and Psychology, Social Sciences General, Physics, and Molecular Biology and Genetics.
