On March 13, Hangzhou Normal University hosted the inaugural China-Caribbean Youth Development and Cooperation Forum, organized by the university’s Center for Caribbean Studies. The forum centered on the theme “Shared Dreams and Aspirations—A Youth Perspective on the China-Latin America Community with a Shared Future.”
Ying Biao, Deputy Secretary of CPC Hangzhou Normal University Committee, and Analisa Low, Ambassador of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to China, attended and delivered remarks. Also present were international students from Trinidad and Tobago and student representatives from HZNU. Participants actively shared their views and engaged in in-depth discussions around the theme.
During the event, a ceremony was held to confer the title of Honorary Professor of HNZU on Ambassador Low.
As the first event of the China-Caribbean Youth Development and Cooperation Exchange, the forum marks a new platform for dialogue and collaboration. HZNU will continue to foster China-Caribbean relations through this exchange, contributing actively to the Belt and Road Initiative.
